Nail Review: OPI Makes Men Blush
Hey everyone!!
I had a really important business meeting on Friday so I got my nails done Thursday night (always the procrastinator). The color I got was OPI's Makes Men Blush. I wanted something that was subtle but still had a little color. My thoughts are if you have a business meeting, are going to an interview, etc nail maintenance is a must. You don't want bright nails or worse----chipped or jagged nails. French tip, clear, nude or light pink are great for those situations. Don't get me wrong, if I have a business meeting and they already know me then I wear any color I want but first impressions are key. Having a color like the one below shows that you are well manicured and groomed. It shows you made an extra effort.
My review on the color is that I really liked it for this situation. It is not a color I would wear on a normal circumstance because I am much more fair skinned than the picture below so the color barely shows. I think it would look amazing on someone with a tanner complexion. Overall, it served it's purpose very well and I will re-use for future interviews, etc but it is definitely not an everyday polish for me. I will go back to my deep purples and reds next week!

Biscuit Bites
Hi Guys!!
Last night I made biscuit bites. I saw a recipe on pintrest that I HAD to try. It was supposed to be pretzel bites but unfortunately I got the wrong kind of dough so mine ended up being biscuit bites. They were SO delicious. I will give you a run down of what I did but if you want to follow the original recipe I added the link below. Next time I will make it with regular bread dough and see which I like better. Here is what I did.
What you will need:
- A container of biscuit dough. I would recommend getting ones that are NOT flaky.
- Butter.
- Cinnamon.
- Sugar.
- Grease a baking sheet and put aside.
- Open the container of biscuits and separate them. Most come already separated you just have to pull them apart.
- Cut each biscuit in half and then half again so it is in for equal parts. You can see a picture of this on the
recipe below.
- Lightly roll all of the pieces into little balls and put them on your greased baking sheet.
- Let them sit and rise on the baking sheet (I gave them about 10 minutes).
- Take a large pot and start to boil water. You can let your water start boiling while you move on to the next step just make sure you keep an eye on the water.
- Heat your oven to 375 degrees.
- Once the water is boiling and the biscuits have risen, put 5-10 of the balls into the boiling water for 45 seconds then remove and put on a couple of paper towels or towel. I put mine on a towel and then a paper towel on top of that but my biscuits had bits of butter in them which leaked into the towel so just be careful. You also want to make sure you don't leave them in for too much longer than 45 seconds. Keep doing that until you have done it to all of the bites.
- Once they are dry and cooled down you transfer them back to your greased baking sheet.
- Put them in the oven for 15 minutes.
- When you pull them out let them cool for a few minutes and then you brush melted butter on the balls.
- Combine the cinnamon and sugar. Mix it to your preference.
- Roll the buttered balls into the cinnamon sugar mix.
- ENJOY!!
It sounds like a really long process but I promise it's not hard or even that long. Once I realized I got the wrong dough I almost didn't make them but they were REALLY good and you don't even taste that they are biscuits. A friend tried them (I didn't tell them it was biscuits) and they LOVED them!
Overall I loved the dish. It was a great dessert and would be really great to make for a party. Finger food!!
I hope you enjoyed! Here is the link to the original recipe. Next time I make something I will take more pictures along the process.

Get to Know Me Tag
Hey guys! I found this get to know me tag on www.elleandblair.com. I thought that since this was a new blog I would answer a few questions so people get to know me better. Hope you enjoy!!
- Is it cute when guys kiss you on your forehead? Yes!! Love it.
- A big poofy dress or a short party dress? Short party dresses.
- Are diamonds a girl's best friend? I would much prefer a good friend over diamonds.
- Is your hair up or down today? Down. I hate my hair up.
- Do you straighten your hair? Not everyday because my hair is super straight to begin with but if I am going somewhere special or if I have some extra time on my hands when I'm getting ready (which is pretty much never) I will straighten the front piece because it tends to have a wave every once in a while. I also straighten the underneath of my hair.
- Favorite mascara? DiorShow in Black.
- Do you get your nails done? It depends. If I have shellack on my nails then I go to a nail salon but if I am taking a break from them I usually do my nails on my own. Except for pedicures. I always get them done because it's so relaxing; it's like a mini spa day.
- Small or large purses? LARGE!!
- Jeans or sweats? Jeans if I am going anywhere but if I am at home I usually wear PJ pants.
- Do you wear clothes/shoes/jewelry that's uncomfortable? All the time but if I am wearing something I think is cute then I feel more confident. So it's a win.
- Do you text message a lot? Oh yes! I much prefer texting over calling.
- Whats your favorite color? In general I don't have a favorite color. I have favorite colors of things but not one in general. When I was younger purple was my favorite color. I was obsessed with it.
- Heels or flats? It definitely depends on what I am doing but I love me some super cute flats.
- Would you ever leave the house without makeup on? I do but I like to at least like to put on mascara.
- Walmart or Target? Target for sure.
- Do you think lip gloss is the best!? Best what? Thing ever? No.
- Do you own any big sunglasses? Yes!! I love huge sunglasses that cover half of my face.
- How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? To shower and do that whole routine it usually takes an hour and change.
- Gold or silver? Gold. Gold. Gold. Gold. Gold. I love gold!!!
- Do you like to wear dresses? I do but not just out running errands or something. In that case I prefer jeans or leggings.
- In the last 48 hours have you hung out with a guy? Yes.
- Do you like to hold hands? Yes but I find it's not practical to walk with hands held.
- What do you notice when you first meet a guy? Height, teeth and eyes. In that order.
- Do you like making eye contact? Yes. The only time I don't is if I am not wearing makeup. For some reason I feel like if I don't look at them directly then they can't see me and my un-makeuped self.
- Would you kill for chocolate? Definitely not.
- On a scale from 1-10 how fun is shopping? 9. The only reason I didn't give it a ten is because shopping = spending money.
- Do you yell a lot? Umm...kind of...
- Do you wear sweatpants/pajamas to school/work? Definitely not.
- Have you ever dressed unlike yourself to impress a guy? The only thing I can think of is I have worn articles of clothing that I know a guy would like.
- What makeup could you not live without? Mascara.
Grocery Store Haul
Hey Guys!!
I have been MIA for the past week because I was planning my brother's 9th birthday party.
Below is a grocery store haul I filmed on Valentine's Day but I didn't get a chance to upload it that day.
The intro was cut off so you don't see where I mention that the haul is from Sprouts. I also mentioned that I am a weirdo and love to check watch people's grocery store hauls to see what they buy. I hope you enjoy! Thanks!

Blush Review: Nars Orgasm
Hey everyone!!
Today's blog is a review about the blush Nars Orgasm! I know it's a beauty guru favorite but for those of you that haven't tried it or can't decide whether to purchase it or not read on!
Shade - Peachy Pink with a slight shimmer.
Price - $28 (US).
What I love about it - It is super pigmented. A little bit of the blush goes a long way. I have had it for a little over a year and I still have a lot left (although I do not wear it everyday).
There is a perfect amount of shimmer. There is just enough to show but not so much you look like you're wearing glitter all over your cheeks.
It stays on all day. I put it on at 6am and by the time I get home from my day it is still shining on.
The packaging is lovely. It comes in the classic Nars packaging with a nice sized mirror inside.
My favorite thing about this product is that it looks great on all complexions. I am very fair so the blush gives me a healthy pink glow to my cheeks. I also tried it on someone who has olive skin and it looked amazing on her as well.
What I don't love about it - The only thing I don't love is the packaging. I'm not sure what material the case is but it gets really dirty really easily if it comes in contact with any other powders, etc.
Recommendations - As I said above when it comes in contact with other makeup it gets really dirty so my recommendation is to not put it in a makeup bag if possible. If you can't help it leave it in the small box it comes in. Here is a picture of what mine looks like. If this doesn't bother you then don't worry about it.
It is a great color to wear during spring/summer because it is such a light pinky color although you can of course wear it for any season.
I also think it is more of a day time color because it's so light. I tend to go more for a darker color for evening.
Overall - I LOVE this product and I think every beauty girl should definitely have this in their collection. As always the above is my opinion so if you want to wear it at night during the winter go for it! I just did the other night. There are no rules when it comes to this blush and for makeup/fashion in general just wear what makes you happy!!
Here is a quick swatch on my finger. You can see more of the peachy tone in this picture.
I found the first picture of the Nars blush here: http://www.narscosmetics.com/iconic-nars/cult-classics/~/orgasm-blush

Haul: Forever 21, Macy's, Marshall's, TJ Maxx
Happy Saturday!!
Below is a collective haul from four different stores: Forever 21, Macy's, Marshall's and TJ Maxx.
You are going to have to turn the volume way up. I'm still learning how to work this camera. Also, the background noise every once in a while you hear are the boys playing video games. I didn't realize you would be able to hear it until after I finished filming. I hope you enjoy!!
